Rogers, an autism mom and life coach, here to help parents of non-verbal children with autism achieve potty training success, guaranteed!

First off, I want to express my gratitude for the incredible support we've received since launching this podcast. Your feedback and downloads from all around the world are simply mind-blowing. Together, we're making a difference in the lives of families on the autism spectrum, and I'm truly honored to be part of this journey.

Before we tackle today's topic on problem behaviors, let me give you a quick family update. My daughter, Juliana, who was diagnosed with autism at age two, is now thriving at 10, going on 11. She's attending a general education class with minimal support, has friends, and is fully potty trained. The key, I believe, is my unwavering belief in my ability to be the best mother for her. It's been a transformative journey, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Now, let's get into the heart of today's episode – addressing problem behaviors. I believe that every child with autism can lead an independent life if they master three key life skills. We've covered the first two in previous episodes: potty training and communication. The third, which we're exploring today, is managing problem behaviors.

It's important to note that problem behaviors are often linked to a child's inability to communicate effectively. Functional communication is the foundation, and I've seen remarkable changes when children start to communicate, even non-verbally. Juliana's journey, learning sign language, was a turning point. Her tantrums decreased as her communication skills improved.

To help you navigate and solve problem behaviors, I've created a free guide, "The Autism Mom's Survival Guide to Problem Behaviors." You can get your hands on it by emailing me at Michelle@MichelleRogers.com, just mention the podcast.

We'll be diving deep into this guide, dissecting problem behaviors, and learning how to prevent them from happening again. It's time to break free from the cycle of feeling helpless and understand the "why" behind these behaviors.

Tune in now and empower yourself with the knowledge and tools to support your child on the autism spectrum. Together, we'll make a difference! 🌟 #AutismMomsPottyTalk #PodcastEpisode14 #ProblemBehaviorsSolved
